Diann Price Williams is the 4th child of nine children born to her parents in a small rural community in South Carolina. Diann is a first-time published author of a mystery suspense novel titled “A Life That Mattered” which chronicles the life of a successful bipolar young man. This book was published in October 2018 to help her move pass the loss of her brother who was the victim of a tragic traffic fatality in October 2017. May “A Life That Mattered” inspire you to treat any mental health issue just like we treat a medical health issue.
Diann worked for many years as a social worker in the area of adoptions and later went on to work in the area of information technology as a project manager and technical writer. Diann’s greatest quest in life is to improve the lives of children. Diann hopes all of her books will create awareness in the African American community about the issues we face as a race of people in the area of mental health issues, absent father issues and the lack of passing along historical information.
Diann published her 2nd book, a Children’s book titled, “When Dad Is Not Around” in December 2018. This book was inspired by her granddaughter. May this book challenge you to show love and support to all children, especially those children without the regular support of a father in their lives.
Diann published the first 2 books in her Children’s book series “Blessed Are the Little Children” in April 2019. The series was inspired by her great grandmother who was born before the Emancipation Proclamation was signed and told Diann many stories of her life on a plantation. Diann will publish more books in this series.
Diann is married to Leon Williams. They have a blended family of 3 children, Tahlisha, Nicholas and Michael and two grandchildren, Talyn and Nicholas.
